What is the best shampoo and conditioner?

I have long hair wavy hair, it gets really poofy and sometimes frizzy. It is kind of dull and has split ends. It is also a bit damaged. What would be the best shampoo and conditioner for me, and also, what can I do to prevent this from happening again? Thanks, and links would be great! What is the best shampoo and conditioner?
If your hair is thin, then use the Hydratherapie shampoo/conditioner from Biolage, but if your hair is thick, use the CHI shampoo/infra treatment. Also, get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks to maintain the length, or 12 if you are growing it out. Don't use anything from a store because they are loaded with alcohol that cause damage and excess drying, so brands like Herbal Essences, Pantene, Tresseme, etc. are all horrible for your hair. What is the best shampoo and conditioner?
Tresemme Thermal Repair if you use any styling tools on your hair, even if you don't it calms down frizz and makes your hair soft. Also for BIG frizz problems use frizz-ease.

Hope it helps.
I think herbal essence is the best. it makes you hair really smooth and shiney and makes you hair smell UNBELIEVEABLE
herbal for shampoo and fruit stuff for the cond.
i would try pureology or matrix products, they're pricey but they work reallly well!

Is it okay to wash cats with human shampoo and conditioner?

just wanted to know because my cat smells bad and i don't have pet stuff. Is it okay to wash cats with human shampoo and conditioner?
    No it's not good.

I've tried doing it with my cat (I didn't know the first time) and my cat kept vomiting. Human shampoo and conditioner are just not made for humans.

Go to Walmart and buy the cat shampoo they have. I use the Hartz Shampoo designed for cats.

It's better to go buy cat shampoo than to use human shampoo and have to pay vet fee later. Is it okay to wash cats with human shampoo and conditioner?
I highly advise against that. Human products are formulated for our skin etc and animals have different skin. It could burn, itch, sting, dry their skin out etc. Rub it with a dryer sheet instead. It's safe for the cat. Just get some cat shampoo asap.
well i dont have a cat but i wash my dog with regular people shampoo and i dont think it will hurt your cat

    answer mine?

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>
no, it could burn them, or get in their eyes. buy some cat shampoo, even dog stuff is different, make sure its for cats or rabbits

Does horse shampoo really make your hair grow faster and quicker?

just curious to know, i mean, its kind of funny i want to knowDoes horse shampoo really make your hair grow faster and quicker?
Horse shampoo makes the hair stronger. Therefore, it gives the appearance that it grows more. If your hair is damaged, it wont grow as fast. Healthy hair grows at a faster pace. Mane and Tail shampoo helps the hair grown healthier and stronger. They use it for show horses because the show horses have to have healthy and shinny hair.Does horse shampoo really make your hair grow faster and quicker?
I don't believe horse shampoo does anything for your hair, but I swear by coconut oil, It softens the hair and conditions the scalp. Using the coconut oil as a prewash conditioner can rid a person of dandruff better than a medicated shampoo.

Coconut oil, a natural ingredient in the highest, has always been recognized for its quality of strengthening the structure of damaged, devitalized hair, to make it stronger.

Coconut oil lubricates and softens the hair shaft through the action of minerals such as magnesium, potassium, calcium, and iron. Coconut oil can do for your skin as it can do for your hair. It is wonderful to use. Try it, I know you will like it. Look it up!!!
Yes it works great. I used it and loved it. It has alot of nutrients for your hair to make it healthy.
no...man i wish i did!! but no, i used it with high hopes, for 2 months...nothing.. srry 2 burst ur bubble!!! :)
Mane n' Tail I heard is very good for afro hair.
.Yes..it made my hair grow from above shoulder to below chest in 3 months...its funny when you hear about it...but the results are stunning!..For boys and girls...its make your hair soft and shinier...
i'm pretty sure it does, i've read it lots of places
I use to use it when I was little. I have horses and they look nice with the shampoo lol!
no -get a great cut and invest in good product. eat a balanced diet.

What's the best non expensive hair system (shampoo etc) in Australia?

I use the the dove hair colouring shamoo and conditoner but don't know whether the hiar mask is good so if you use let me know. I also wangt to know what works if you've got lightned hair and what use and what works. What's the best non expensive hair system (shampoo etc) in Australia?
i use natural source. i get it from a salon supplier in ferntree gully victoria. its great and only about $20 for 1 litre

their treatments and leave in conditioners are awesome too.

good luckWhat's the best non expensive hair system (shampoo etc) in Australia?
You schould try sunsilk it is amazing. i use it and it really makes your hair look good. they have like 20 different shampoo and conditioner styles so whatever the hair type you hair (curly hightlited frizzy staright long short) they have a shampoo for it =]
Ditto Rachel (finally someone who agrees with me that Pantene is crap). Dove is good, apparently so is Loreal. Me personally, i like anything by Matrix, DC (Deep Care) and De Lorzeno. They've got natural ingredients.
Anything by Schwarzkopf or L'Oreal. They have really good supermarket brands out there.
dove is good stick with that. their mask is good too

avoid products like tresemme and pantene

How soon do i have to wait to shampoo and condition my hair after a dye it?

I just dyed my hair yesterday and i wanted to wash it today because my hair got extremely flat and im going out. can i shampoo and condition it or should i just condition it?How soon do i have to wait to shampoo and condition my hair after a dye it?
shouldn't be a problem at all.....

i would suggest not using a white or light colored towel for a few days (especially if the color has red in it) because it will bleed slightly for awhile...but nothing drastic.

go ahead! get sudsy! How soon do i have to wait to shampoo and condition my hair after a dye it?
you have to wash it after like 30 mins after puttin the dye of your hair.. After that, the washing habits shouldnt change - wash it whenever you need it. With shampoo, once, twice, 3 times, put condition, masks, everything you did before you died it
    The next day.
you don't you can wash it as soon as it is done
After you color your hair, you ALWAYS need to wash it. If you dont that color will continue to process and keep getting darker until it reaches its peak. With colors, you can shampoo and condition as soon as you would like. Make sure you use cool water to rinse the conditoner out with. This will make the color last longer by closing the cuticle each time.
ONE WEEK AFTERWARDS. YOU SHOULD HAD CONDITIONED IT AFTER DYING IT. A CONDITIONER COMES IN THE KIT.
its good to wait a day after you color - but you'll be fine washing it tonight before you go out

    :)
No! you shouldn't wash your hair out the next day! you should always wait a week, so that your color grabs on to your hair, if you wash it right away your color may run in the water and you might lose alot of hair. Leaving your hair for a week without washing it, keeps your color on longer and it makes your hair more healthier, because the natural oils from your scalp, will moisturize your hair. After a week you should brush your hair from the root to the tip, so that your natural oil will coat your hair like a conditioner. After this shampoo and put lots of conditioner..your hair will feel silky smooth.
did you wash it yesterday when you died? if you did then leave it alone just curl it or something and you are suppose to wash your hair every two weeks.

How can i keep the Smell of my shampoo and conditner?>=?

I use Herbal Essences Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner.I use it every day and it works on my hair ahmazing but the only thing is once i get out the smell is gone and it just smells yuck.I always straighten my hair but idk if that has anything to do with it.ASAPHow can i keep the Smell of my shampoo and conditner?%26gt;=?
Yeah, the scent in my hair products usually don't last, either. Here's an idea, you can go to a health foods store and buy an essencial oil, like Lavendar. Buy an empty spray bottle (at a beauty supply store) and mix in the bottle the essential oil and water and you can spritz your hair with it for the scent.

Or, you can mix a very small amount of the HE conditioner in the spray bottle and dilute it with water and cary the spray bottle in your purse and spritz your hair with it if it begins to smell bad, this will also freshen your hair.

Depending on your hair type, it could be good or bad, for instance if you have hair that's prone to being oily/greasy then this might not work, but if you have hair that gets sort of dry then this will help. How can i keep the Smell of my shampoo and conditner?%26gt;=?
It depends on which Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner you use.. I usually use Coconut or Berry they're the best! Well what you need to do is Shampoo your hair, Soak in the conditioner a lot longer than you usually do, and when you're styling your hair use their same products while styling (Herbal Essences; Hairspray,Styling Gel,Root Lifter,Shine Spray etc..) Spray it all over after (or before) Styling and your hair will smell fantastic! I get compliments all the time! (I usually use the root lifting spray gel on top of my head after showering and styling!(: )
yes straightening it does have a lot to do with it!!

What I do it i take a really tiny bit of conditioner (after i have straightened my hair) and rub it on my fingers, and run my fingers through my hair... it also helps with frizz ... to some degree.... just don't use too much or your hair will look greasy, and be a bit sticky after a while.
use organixs/organics hair shampoo and conditioner.....the smell last till the next time that u do shampoo its quite amazing......i love the coconut one.....just make sure that u follow the directions for the conditioner and u can get it at target, and other drug stores
well, if you want a shapooish smell in ur hair, you can spray hair detangler or heat protection spray that smells good, and straighten ur hair after you spray it on, so that it retains the smell. ( :

What can I do to my hair to make it retain the scent of my shampoo/conditioner?

It doesn't seem to matter what shampoos and conditioners I try, my hair doesn't retain the scent. It's not that my hair smells bad, but rather that it just doesn't smell good, either. Sometimes it will retain a faint scent when I air dry it, but not when I blow dry it.

I use a lot of different brands. Tresemme, Aussie and Herbal Essences are just a few, so I don't think it's the brand. Any help? What can I do to my hair to make it retain the scent of my shampoo/conditioner?
this happens to me too when i blowdry my hair. i usually buy a mousse or gel in the same brand as shampoo ( they usually smell the same) and it helps keep that clean fresh smell. also spray a little perfume in your hair. it will hold the scent all day and when you move your head you will smell it.What can I do to my hair to make it retain the scent of my shampoo/conditioner?
u can spray a little perfume on ur brush

    (one spray is enough)

and then just brush through ur hair...

i wouldn't recommend doing that everyday tho

cause i doubt its good for it...but it smells

    soooooooo good

  • Shampoo?????

what is the best type of shampoo you ever used?

how did ur hair feel afterwards

    thanks in advanceShampoo?????
i LOOOOOOVE frederic fekkai's moisturizing shampoo with shea butter. i also love his conditioner (same kind). it makes my hair smoothe, and thats the only kind of shampoo i'll use.Shampoo?????
it all matter on your hair type and what you want your shampoo to do for you. i would go talk to your hair stylist not at great clips or any place like that i mean a real hair stylist and they should be able to help. i wouldn't do with anything from your grocery store and stay away from pantene, yes it make your hair fell great but i was original made to be a floor wax so what its doing is coting your hair with wax and if you color your hair it will mess with you color and make it look bland.
It's called Matrix curl life, for curly hair obviously, and it worked AWESOME. The only store bought shampoo I'll get is Pantene ProV clarifying to get off product build up but other than that I won't go back to non-salon shampoo. Not because I think I'm better or anything, just because it works so well! Matrix also has other shampoos that aren't specifically for curly hair. My hair wasn't weighed down at all, it was shiny and soft and the curls didn't all blah together, they stayed individualized. Good stuff :) Check out mine? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>
right now i'm using Pantene ice shine and its ok. it leaves ur hair super soft but doesn't really add shine like it says it will. and i used Aussie one time and LUVED it. i wanna go back to it.
I'm using Herbal Essences Hello Hydration and it makes my hair softer and smell like coconut and orchid. Herbal Essences makes another one called The Break's Over, I'm probably going to switch to that one.

    Shampoo???

What is the best shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner for my hair type? I have thick, wavy, long, frizzy, dyed hair with alot of split ends.Shampoo???
u can use the new dove series-moisturetheraphy. it's kinda good but it loses it effect after a few washes.Shampoo???
    frederic fekkai
OMG I have the same hair as you do lol

Well I like to use diffrent kinds but the best are listed below.

When you add heat to your hair I like Thermilsilk $8

When you just want to wash and go I use Sunsilk $4

For more expensive and a longer lasting effect use Matrik sleek and Shine $20

    or

    Paul Mitchell Super Skiny $25

To condition for dry hair use Matrix Hydrating $20
    pantene pro v
use suave humectant shampoo and conditioner its really good
Ok. So here is my suggestion. Since you have split ends you need to get a trim or your hair will just continue to split and break off. Secondly, the Pureology line is fantastic. They have a ';Super Straight'; Shampoo and Conditioner that will help with the frizz. It won't make your curl dissappear but if you like to straighten your hair on occasion, it will help with that as well. They also have a ';Super Straight'; Relaxing Serum that is not too heavy and is not sticky at all. I love this line because it doesn't give you that ';product'; feel.

If your hair is really dry, Pureology also offers a deep conditioning treatment called Nanoworks. You can use that once a week if you wish. They also have a spray on detangler that you would use with the daily conditioner and it is called Colour Max. I would also suggest a trim every 6 to 8 weeks. The line is a bit on the high end for price but is made especially for colour treated hair and you won't believe the difference. Your colour will last longer too. Also, it took me 7 months to go through a bottle of shampoo and conditioner. You only need a large pea size of shampoo.

Also, Pureology does have a guarantee on their products so if you don't like them you send it back to the company with a receipt and you will get a full refund. No questions asked. If you don't want to purchase it, I give out samples so ask your stylist. You can also visit the web site. www.Pureology.com. Hope this helps.
First of all, get your hair trimmed to remove the split ends. Try L'Oreal Vive Smooth Intense hair care products.
well someone told me Pantene was good but i found out it gives you build up and dandruff so i use things from L'oreal or fructis..but sometimes it depends on your hair.
redken or white rain. and get a trim for the split ends
I have the same problem I don't use shampoo it dries out the hair too much. I use Mendex Conditioner from Sally's Beauty Store everyday. You can tell the difference from the time you put it in your hair .
The new dove line works prety good =)
The one that was recommended to me by a hair professional is Purology which works great for colored hair. It does not contain the sulfate stuff, a bit pricy but works great!

If you don't want to spend a lot then try BioSilk it works great too.
Biolage its excellent doesn't strip your hair . As for the conditioner get the biolage conditioning balm , it's not regular conditioner its a thick type balm and it will get rid of frizz and split ends which you probably need a trim for. try biolage , you won't regret it.
I use Pantene Pro-V Restorative Frizz Control. My hair is curly damaged and frizzy. It works great makes my hair nice and smooth. I also use the Extra Strength Hair Serum to protect it while drying and straightening. Plus it smells great! Since you have spit-ends you might want to try the Breakage Defense line though. You will need to trim the split-ends either way. Both work GREAT!
    infusium 23
I like Pantene as well as Suave for Brunettes. They both have a full line with a deep conditioner and/or a leave in conditioner. You should get a plastic ';shower cap'; put on heavy conditioner and the cap and leave it on for as long as possible, at least once a week, this should do wonders for your hair.
lol same here..i use sunsilk and sometimes baby shampoo..it works ..try it...and if not...i wanna knw another way too

Does vitamin C powder mixed with shampoo really take out hair dye completely?

Also will it take out my bleached hair. It isn't really blond but goldish; Will it take it out too or no ? How do I remove the bleach coloring?Does vitamin C powder mixed with shampoo really take out hair dye completely?
I have been a hair stylist for 10 years and I have never heard of this. I don't believe it will work, and the only way to remove bleach is to let it grow out or color over it with semi permanent hair color. Other than that your stuck with it. SorryDoes vitamin C powder mixed with shampoo really take out hair dye completely?
You don't!!! Just like a bleach spot that gets on that favorite colored item. You either dye it or live with it.
    partially
    unfortuanatly not. ive tried :(

What is the largest size bottle, shampoo etc., you can carry on a SouthWest flight?

I don't want to buy new shampoo, conditioner %26amp; lotion when I get there, just to throw them out a week later. What is the largest size bottle, shampoo etc., you can carry on a SouthWest flight?
u can put them in your checked baggage, i carry the little ones just in case, and check all my big bottles, lotion, toothpaste and shampoo. What is the largest size bottle, shampoo etc., you can carry on a SouthWest flight?
3 oz. if you go to target, they have small shampoos, conditioners, deodorants, lotions, exc. otherwise, you could buy a big bottle, then at walmart or walgreens they sell small 2 oz or 3 oz containers, that you can pour some shampoo and stuff into the containers, then put the rest in your actual luggage. that works very well in the rare case that your luggage gets to you a day or 2 later.

you can get as many 1 2 or 3 oz bottles you can into a QUART size ZIP-TOP bag. it must be able to be zipped shut! when you get to security, put your carry on on the belt, take out your one quart sized bag with your liquids in less than 3 oz containers, and they will scan that seperete.
Airline operator dont concer it matter TSA

you’re packing for a trip and realize you don’t have a 3 oz. or less tube or bottle of toothpaste, hair gel, shampoo, etc. on hand, these small (2 oz.) bottles are a terrific solution.

they’re a handy way to carry less than 3 oz. of gels, shampoos, and the like.

Also, if you want to bring your cologne along but are worried about spillage OR the bottle’s too large, transfer a small quantity to a cologne or perfume sample size bottle

Doing so from a spray bottle into a sample bottle is not an activity to which I would apply the word “precise,” but it can be done. Have some running water nearby and wear glasses or safety goggles.

I usually pack the sample size bottle in a small ziploc bag inside my quart size ziploc bag just in case any seepage occurs.
Its not the ariline that decides, its the governing body of the aviation industry, so its the same for every flight, no matter where or who is flying.
3-1-1 rule. 3 ounces, 1 quart bag, 1 per person. Meaning, however many 3 ounce bottles you can fit in a quart bag.

I am starting to get dandruff so I bought some head and shoulders shampoo today?

But I noticed they don't have a conditioner to go with it. They make the 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner but I hate those, they never make my hair soft. So my question is, can I use the head and shoulders shampoo and then just use some nice smelling conditioner like herbal essence or something? Or will that defeat the whole purpose of the shampoo?I am starting to get dandruff so I bought some head and shoulders shampoo today?
Head and shoulders is good for dandruff, but don't use every day, twice a week is enough. Any lite conditioner will be good to use.You don't want to use a real thick conditioner, it leaves a film on hair and scalp.I am starting to get dandruff so I bought some head and shoulders shampoo today?
I hate to break it to you.. but head and shoulders is actually one of the most DRYING shampoos out on the market. And anything thats 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner is going to be extremely drying.

Use Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner by paul Mitchell -- or Redken Dandruff control... or any professional dandruff shamppo for that matter [those are just the ones Im going to recommend because Ive used them on clients before]

Make sure you really get to your scalp when you shampoo AND when you condition. [generally you dont need to put conditioner on more than your ends, but Im betting youve dried out your scalp from generic shampoo... ]

    Good luck.
Yes i agree with Rina. It really leaves your hair dry!!! it should not be used everyday. I know cause my mom used to use it, but she switched.
they do have a full line. check at wal mart

What is a really good (cheap) shampoo brand that i can buy at walmart?

I have really split ends, dry hair, its long, color treated, thick, and it gets really frizzy! I have been using panteen prov beautiful lengths but that just isn't enough for my hair. Does anyone know of a better brand (if there is one) that i can buy at walmart?

**Also I have seen commercials on dove and herbal essences to help dry and damaged hair, do either of those work?

  • What do they put in baby shampoo, is it anthing different from any other detergent?

Is dish washing liquid safe to use for shampoo? What do they put in baby shampoo, is it anthing different from any other detergent?
It is different from typical detergents. I wash my hair with dish detergent (ajax), but don't want to get it, or regular shampoo, in my eyes!

Baby shampoo uses cocamide, derived from the coconut, to cleanse the hair. While gentle, it is not as effective as detergent.

Cocamide is a mixture of amides of the fatty acids obtained from coconut oil. Cocamide is the structural basis of many surfactants.

The Head and Shoulders shampoo and conditioners for fine and limp hair is really the best product for this (believe me I've tried practically everything else). For the frizziness apply a dab of silicone serum or something like the VO5 straightening balm to towel dried hair and then blow dry it does wonders for combatting frizziness without destroying the volume and body in the hair. Do use a good hot oil treatment once a week to also help treat your hair from the roots to the tips. At night before bed gently massage a bit of coconut oil into your scalp, this will help with the dandruff as well as the frizziness. It also helps to stimulate the scalp to produce natural oils. Goodluck! What kind of shampoo gets rid of dandruff and doesn't dry out hair.?
u have to b consistent when treating dandruff hair...

take showers at least 3 times a weak, and use head and shoulders shampoo, really massage that stuff into your hair, make sure its fully lathered, leave on for 10 minutes then rinse off, then use conditioner

and for days where your hair is dry, let your hair down and shake your hair vigourisly and comb out your dandruff with a fine close toothed comb
Head and shoulders, my cousin is one of the people that works on it and does experiments to make sure it works. She said it wont dry out your hair and it will get rid of it. If it doesnt then its not dandruff its dry scalp which this shampoo doesn't treat
VICHY Dercos Shampoo with green label. It was the only thing that solved my friend's severe problem with dandruff. And he tried almost everything on the market, including shampoos, drugs, creams, all that stuff.
herbal essences is the best shampoo ive ever had, that l'oreal is good for frizziness but dont no the name of it,only no that its orange bottle.

or head and shoulders is great for no dandruff (:
Go to the drugstore and ask and see if they recommend something or try head and shoulders it is designed specally for getting rid of danduff!!

    hope i helped!!

Head and Shoulders works to get rid of dandruff and it doesn't dry out my hair.

I am not sure about frizziness though...
ask for something at a drugstore. Those from regular shops are not so good.

What type of shampoo makes your hair REALLY shiny?

I am starting to do some more crazy hairstyles and they are coming out great! However my hair seems to just be dull.....not sleek and shiny, I am not on a celebrity budget, but if anyone has any brands or tips that I should buy and/or try....I would be most grateful. What type of shampoo makes your hair REALLY shiny?
Your hair is an important part of your appearance. If your hair does not look good, your entire appearance can be ruined. All of us would like to have beautiful, silky, shiny hair. But like a number of other beauty secrets many of us do not know how to make our hair shiny. Different hair textures need different ingredients to make it shiny. Healthy, shiny hair enhances the beauty of a person.

Fine Hair : for fine hair look for a shampoo with wheat proteins and polymers. These ingredients coat the hair shaft making it look thicker. Use spray volumizers. These are light enough and will deposit a light mist of shine in the form of droplets without wilting your hair.

Normal Hair : for normal hair use a shampoo that has silk amino acids, this softens and repairs hair structure. Lecithin restores hair texture. To add shine you can use gels and creams. First apply the product on your palm, rub your hands together and pat gently on to your hair.

Thick and Coarse Hair: Use pomades they will not only make your hair shiny but will moisturize your hair as well.

    Tips For Shiny Hair

    Use heat-activated shampoo

    Deep condition at least weekly

Don鈥檛 use a lot of styling products as they can dull the hair by coating it.

Use Strawberry hair mask: mash eight strawberries with one-tablespoon mayonnaise. Massage this into washed but damp hair. Cover it with a shower cap and then a warm towel. Wash out with a shampoo and then condition. This mask will give your hair a rich gloss.

Increase the shine in your hair by giving your hair a cool blast of air to seal the cuticle after it is completely dry. If the cuticles are ragged then your hair will not shine.

For blonde hair use a few tablespoons of lemon juice to your rinse water. This will make your hair shiny.

For brown and red hair add a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your rinse water.

For shiny hair you can also mix one teaspoon of honey into 4 cups of warm water. After shampooing, pour the mixture through your hair, but do not rinse. Dry as normal. What type of shampoo makes your hair REALLY shiny?
Hey, this is great! Report Abuse

    Pantene is GREAT.

So are shampoo bottles that say ';shine enhancing'; or ';volumizer'; on them.

    But okay, try this.

Try treating your hair with 1/4 cup of lemon juice or vinegar every 2 weeks. it strips the hair of all of the products you've been putting in it and it returns a natural shine.

Also putting an egg in your hair makes it shiny, But i've only done it once because I don't like the smell.

You can also try shine enhancing hair spray. Dove Flexible hold is great, if you spray it on your comb/brush before using it, it gives it shine, and gets rid of static which is NICE.

    yeah... So good luck! :)
I know how you feel! I used to bleach my hair alot which took away all shine that I had in my hair! I then started using deep conditioners all the time but that grew to be costly and my hair was not very strong. I then found Aussie shampoo and conitioner which worked great! my hair had never been so shiny before :)

the only thing about using the shampoo and conditioner was that it made my hair kind of oily at the roots which I didn't like. So I recommend scrubbing the shampoo in alot at the roots and around your face, where you hairline is. Rinse it out and then use the conditioner only on your ends, trust me. Good luck!
you hair is probably coated. remove build up with liquid laundry detergent. leave it on for several minutes, then rinse and condition. then switch shampoo. definitly not pantene. it has polymers that coat your hair in a plastic film. so do kid shampoos, and most 2-in-1s. try dove or garnier if you can't buy professional.
anything in the L'Occitane line. the shampoo is $17 and the conditioner is $28 but it is totally worth it!! I recommend it wholeheartedly. If you dont want to spend THAT much money, try Hello Hydration by Herbal Essences. That works pretty good too
It is not really products that determine how shiny your hair is.

If your hair is blonde it will not tend to shine as it is a dull colour.

Any dark colours will shine if the hair is healthy.

If the hair is healthy then the cuticle will be flat to the hair and light will shine on to the hair and it will look shiny.

Try a hair treatment to strengthen and repair your hair.

    Hope this helps.

I use this glossing cream from Bath and Body Works -- it's called Fekkai Glossing Cream. It makes my hair shiny and less frizzy. The small tube costs $ 10.00 or less (not sure) and the 8 oz. tube costs about $ 20.00 but you only need a pea size cream so the 8 oz tube -- I am still using and bought it last June 2008.
these shampoos are all natural, smell great, and are great for making Your hair silky and perfect! here's the link http://www.deliziososkincare.com/Shampoo鈥?/a>

well everybody hair type/texture is different. try using conditioner and leaving it in for longer, like before you get out of the shower put in conditioner and leave it in for about half an hour and then rinse it out in the sink.. that what i do.
You can buy a little tub of pantene conditioner. You leave it in for 5 mins. and then wash it out. It makes your hair really nice.

  • What are the factors to consider in making a shampoo?

We were assigned a project to make any medicine derived from plants.. We considered making a shampoo from aloe vera..What are the factors to consider in making a shampoo?
Although aloe vera can be used on burns and etc. it is only an added ingredient in shampoo. Shampoo is not a medicine. It is made from an long organic alcohol boiled with sodium or potassium hydroxide to make a detergent, then fragrance and color are added .They determine how many bubbles they want and how thick it should be.What are the factors to consider in making a shampoo?
the pH of the resultant compound you make, and any buffering you might do to keep the pH within certain limits is important. But as others have said, shampoo is not really any medicine.
Well, making a shampoo is not your assignment. Why not look on a bottle of shampoo that has aloe vera in it for all the ingredients.

Medicine is not shampoo, and shampoo is not medicine.

What kind of shampoo and conditioner will make my hair shiny, silky and healthy?

i need a shampoo and conditioner that will make my hair very silky, shiny and healthy. What kind of shampoo and conditioner will make my hair shiny, silky and healthy?
i have really curly hair.. so it was always hard for me to find a shampoo to do all that u ask for to my hair.. so i went to a beauty salon and ask for advice and since i obviously didnt want to pay hundreds of dollars for that i ask for something good but close to my budget so the lady recomend me to buy ';the wash'; by paul mitchell she told me to buy one bottle and give it a try in 2 weeks my hair look shiny silky and best of all my curls were defined and its not fizzy no more my hair just feels amazing.. and its only $1o,,, u can find it at any hair salon.. make sure to open the bottle coz the original one is a clear shampoo not a whitish pearl one is totally clear u can see the bottom of the bottle.. give it a try its amazing..What kind of shampoo and conditioner will make my hair shiny, silky and healthy?
There are alot of things that contribute to silky, shiny, and healthy hair. A topical product can help; however, you need to balance a healthy lifestyle with healthy hair products.

Remeber to eat foods with lean protein and silicon. Silicon contributes to the hair's natural shine (not to be confused with silicones, which are synthetic chemicals in hair products).

    Also, drink plenty of water.

Don't skip out on your daily multivitamin and Flax Seed Oil, both B, C, D, K, and Omega Fatty Acids help hair health and shine.

Stay clear from chemical full shampoos and conditioners, which are most. Although they provide temporary results, your hair may look shiny or feel soft, your hair actually can be denatured from using them continually. Try Aubrey Organics and Beauty 4 Ashes products. They are awesome, all natural, and worth every penny. Your hair will become healthier and stronger. I love GodHead Silky Smooth products by Beauty 4 Ashes.
I find that you dont have to use overly expensive shampoo and conditioner for your hair to look that way, generally something like Pantene does the trick. Though, the best way to get your hair shiny is after every time you wash it, rinse it for five seconds in cold water. This closes the follicles up making it shinier and silkier.

    :)
Bumble Bumble, GodHead Silky Smooth and GodHead Max Gro, or John Frieda conditioner. Also if you rinse your head with lemon juice after you shampoo it can help to make your hair shiny and healthy.
    i love Aussie!

Herbal Essences work amazingly too :P

both made my hair feel amazing and i couldnt stop touching it

What kind of shampoo and conditioner should a male emo use and how many time shoud they washt here hair a week?

?What kind of shampoo and conditioner should a male emo use and how many time shoud they washt here hair a week?
pantene- that new one for length.. no really use it haha its good =]What kind of shampoo and conditioner should a male emo use and how many time shoud they washt here hair a week?
not trying to be a jerk, but definitely don't use pantene. this goes for everyone. pantene puts a wax in their shampoos and conditioners to make your hair appear shiny and healthy. and if you use it too much, you literally get a coating of wax on your hair and weird dandruff-looking flakes [which are actually chunks of wax] that you need clarifying shampoo to get rid of. and clarifying shampoo is horrible for your hair.

as for actually answering your question, it depends on what type of hair you have. as a general brand, i recommend tresemme. if your hair is normal, get the normal shampoo. dry hair, get moisturizing shampoo. dyed hair, get color treated shampoo, etc.

and it's recommended that EVERYONE washes their hair no more than every other day. especially if your hair is dry and damaged. the less you shampoo, the larger chance there is for your body's natural oils to moisturize the hair.

    i hope this helps.
pantene for sure And wash ur hair at least 5 - 7 times a week it help to soften the hair and easier to brush that is wht i do.
3 times a week, and use pantene.
    a bucket of greese

Is there a shampoo out there made to treat acne on your scalp?

I know it's disgusting but I had this problem since 6th grade. Oh and I really don't want it to be to expensive. And any tips to help control acne would be appreciatedIs there a shampoo out there made to treat acne on your scalp?
How often do you wash your hair? It may be very oily, which could cause acne up there. I'm not aware of any scalp acne treatment, so maybe just wash your hair more often and/or use a shampoo made for oily hair.

okkkk welll acne free 24/7 is well good for acne hah its in an orange bottle. or the Clean and Clear morning burst (the one that smells like lemons is DELICIOUS!) it controls shine and feels extremely cleansing and you feel energized. as for hair!!! i have wavy/curly hair tooo and i looooove Sunsilk captivating curls de frizz shampoo and conditioner! my hair is soooo bouncy and shiny and soft! also i recommend using the Sunsilk captivating curls scrunching mousse. and i know A lot of mousses make your hair strawly and what not but this doesn't at all! its light weight and just great for natural looking waves.

    Dangerous Shampoo!!!

    Sodium Laureth Sulfate

    SLS

    CLEAR , FRUCTIS ,

Vo5, Palmolive, Paul Mitchell, L'Oreal , Body Shop

All these Shampoos use a chemical called SLS which is actually a floor cleaner. They are used so as to produce more foam.

Imagine what a floor cleaner can do to you hair and scalp. It will damage the very roots of your scalp.

Check out for SLS in toothpaste too!!!

Use the ones which are free from this extremely harmful chemical.

Type in ';SLS Free Shampoo'; or ';SLS Free Toothpaste'; in Google.com to get a list of companies selling safe products.
i麓ve searching too but i麓m afraid we must read very carefully the labels on, if you find more information i would like you share with us

What is the best ingredient to look for in Shampoo/Conditioner or any hair products to make hair thicker?

My hair has been thinning due to anemia, I am taking vitamin supplements to help but I was wondering if there are any particular ingredients in shampoo or conditioner or any hair products that would help thicken my hair. Thanks for your help:)What is the best ingredient to look for in Shampoo/Conditioner or any hair products to make hair thicker?
Henna, Amla, Shikakai, and Bhringaraj are all ingredients that thicken and retard hair loss. These are ayurvedic ingredients and can be found in all indian hair products. You can find indian shampoos, conditioners, and oils at any indian/pakistani grocery.

Here is a link explaining ayurvedic products:

Does curl enhancing shampoo work on straight fine hair?

I REALLLLYY want natural wavy hair , not like curling iron icky looking. I have straight fine hair that WILL NOT curl. Will a curl enhancing shampoo help it?Does curl enhancing shampoo work on straight fine hair?
Curl enhancing shampoo does just what it says....enhances curl. There has to be some curl/wave in your hair to enhance it. If it is straight and fine, then I would say .....no curl without the irons.Does curl enhancing shampoo work on straight fine hair?
i hate to tell you this but NO.

i have extremely straight fine hair. i have tried just about every curl shampoo and none of them worked.

    but here's what i do...

    1. get someone to french braid your hair

    2. sleep with it like that

    3. take it down the next morning and run your fingers through it(but do not brush it because if you do it might frizz)

    4. you are ready to go.
Sorry no, i bought some like i think 3 different kinds and mine has a slightly wave and did nothing, total waste of money
    Sorry no, save your money.

Will using neutralizing shampoo strip the perm out and will it help with the transition a little?

I have 3 inches of newgrowth but im not ready to chop it yet, so will neutralizing shampoo help make my hair natural lookin and a little easier to handle until im ready to chop my hair to newgrowth part? Will using neutralizing shampoo strip the perm out and will it help with the transition a little?
all neutralizing shampoo does is stop the relaxer process when you rinse a perm out. Perms don't strip out, they are like permanet hair dye, you have to grow out a perm and cut it out as your hair grows.

Is there a shampoo that will make my hair thicker?

I am a guy my hair is about 5-6 inches long all around, trying to grow it out a little more. My problem is that my hair is thin and just mats down most of the time. I use some shampoo, but I am not sure of the specifics, and no conditioner.

yes i use it all the time it works go 2 the store and buy selsun blue. it will work.

  • Is there a shampoo that is colour safe for kids?

My husband took my 11 year old daughter out to get her hair highlighted blonde a few days ago. My daughter complains about how she doesn't want to use her 'Loreal Kids' shampoo because it will make her highlights fade. Where can I get a shampoo both safe for kids and protects colour too?Is there a shampoo that is colour safe for kids?
My little sister is 11 and she uses Herbal Essences, Colour Me Happy. It is a shampoo that helps colour treated hair and it very mild and safe for your head. Doesnt burn your eyes.

My mother and I will not let her use Pantene or Head and Shoulders because they are very harsh, even for me (age 14).

Pantene covers your hair in wax and chemicals, after continuous use of Pantene, your hair will become very damdaged and stiff. Head and Shoulders burns your eyes and hurts your head.

Also try Suave, I think there is one to moisturize you hair, which is also good for colour treated hair. Suave is a very light and inexpensive drugstore brand that is very calming for a kidshead. Doesnt burn your eyes, a bonus.

Another option is Sunsilk Hydra TLC, which moisturizes your hair and keeps your hair really soft. This also doesnt burn your eyes.Is there a shampoo that is colour safe for kids?
well im 13 and i got all my hair dyed/highlighted in October '08

my mom got me Nexxus shampoo %26amp; conditioner for colored hair

    and it works really well

my highlights have barely faded even after like 3 months

i dont know who much it costs, but i dont think its expensive
    highlights dont fade

    lowlights do

but you could get pantene pro v highlighting expressions it supposedly polishes the highlights for higher shine and intensity

What kind of shampoo/conditioner works best for my hair?

    I'm 11 and Asian (pakistani).

The shampoo should be located in a US Wal Mart.

I use Aussie and I've been thinking about Herbal Essences, but if there's something better out there, I'll be happy to use it.

Also, my hair's kinda curly, and I'd like it to be staight. I haven't colored it or anything.

Help? What kind of shampoo/conditioner works best for my hair?
Dove. I adore it. It makes my hair silky, smooth, and full of volume. Plus- it comes in sented AND non-sented (for all those people with allergies). It has made my hair great and healthy. You should defenitly try it.What kind of shampoo/conditioner works best for my hair?
shampoo and conditioner can't make ur hair straight, u would hav to straighten it. PPS hair products r really gud, but idk if they r overseas. also pantene makes ur hair really smooth. others just dry ur hair out.

What cruelty-free shampoo for color-treated hair is available?

I'm looking for moisturizing shampoos for color treated hair that strictly don't test on animals (something like Lush but they don't have shampoo specially made for color treated hair). Please don't say body shop because it's owned by L'oreal, a company that tests on animals. Please tell me what products have worked for you. What cruelty-free shampoo for color-treated hair is available?
if you have an Ulta Cosmetic store in your area they sell ABBA which is organic and does not test on or have animal derived ingredients as well.. Alot of products will say that they do not test on animals but still may have animal derived products in it. ANother product that you can can try is Ojon they have color treated and moisturizing shampoos but again SOME of their products still contain animal bi-products in it. I know it's hard to find these products. One of my clients has the same issue. Oh and there's a brand called Samy that has only to shampoos that are completely vegan as well. Good luck too youWhat cruelty-free shampoo for color-treated hair is available?
White Sands and Ojon are the 2 that come to mind. The former poster was correct: Just because a company does not test on animals doesn't mean the ingredient companies they use don't. Sad isn't it?
Be aware that just because a product says it is not tested on animals, that does NOT mean that its ingredients were not tested on animals.

How much is shampoo in china?

If i were to go to China and buy something like herbal essences, how much would I be expected to pay? Is it about the same as it would cost here just in a different currency? How much is shampoo in china?
it is slightly cheaper, just beware of what goes in the bottle, ingredients, as china has a bad reputation, chemicals that can harm..

be safe pleaseHow much is shampoo in china?
I currently am using Pantene in China. I have seen Herbal Essence also. I paid about 30 RMB for a bottle, which is roughly $4.50. Conditioner is a little harder to find though. My hair seems the same as in the US, so I think the formulas are at least comparable. The brands I don't recognize are a little cheaper, but I haven't tried them.
It's almost the same price after you convert it to USD and if you buy good brand. But I don't think the quality is as good as it's here.

But I never bring my own shampoo when I am going there because it doesn't bother me that much.

Herbal essences (small bottle) costs like 16 rmb.

Shampoo in general costs like 8 - 50 rmb depending on the size and brand.

At the moments its like 6.9 rmb to the dollar and 10.5 rmb to the pound..
What you should be asking is how to avoid getting worms in china
They don't have the same shampoo that we have here.

    But it would be cheaper.
    It's about $5 in China.
about 15-20 yuan a small bottle average

  • What shampoo is good for hair growth?

What is a GOOD shampoo for hair growth?I've always had my hair looong but a lady cut it and evr since then is been 2 months my hair hasn't grown at all.Does any body know of a shampoo that can make my hair grow? What shampoo is good for hair growth?
There is no shampoo in the world that will make your hair grow. It doesn't work that way.

Good nutrition will help to maximize your hair growth.

Hair grows an average of 1\2 inch per month. Give it time. What shampoo is good for hair growth?
Tail and Mane... .its got a horse on it... it helps hair grow fast
Hair growth mainly depends on good health and inherited traits. Some one replied with ';Mane %26amp; Tail';. I don't recommend any store bought shampoos simply for the fact that they cannot be trusted. Look at the ingredients. The first five ingredients are whats contained the most of. After that, the good stuff, is usually listed at the bottom. Most store bought shampoos contain alcohol and a lot of wax. I would recommend using a vitamin E dietary supliment, or using a shampoo that will remove build up that surrounds the cuticle and hair shaft. Like Nioxin. You can get this at any beauty shop. It's good for thinning hair. Also remember that there are stages of growth to your hair. They come in Three. Your are probably in the dormant stage right now and that's why it isn't growing. You lose aproximatley 185 hairs a day as well. Just remember to take your vitamins and use a deep conditioning treatment every 1-2 weeks. Get your hair trimmed at least one inch once a month, this helps to keep the dead ends away. Hope this helps.
Try a shampoo containing peppermint. It stimulates the hair follicles. It is not a quick way to grow hair but the tingly feeling feels good and your hair will be healthier and with healthier hair it is less prone to breakage which will help to retain length.
no shampoo can make your hair grow longer no matter what anyone else says. Just wait...it will grow...trust me
sunsilk its in a red bottle.
I really like Garnier Fructis Long and Strong. While it's true that shampoo won't magically make your hair grow, this shampoo keeps it moisturized really well. You won't have as many split ends and it will be healthy hair, which will stay long, longer.
Shampoo alone will not make your hair grow, especially since most contain sulfates and chemicals that actually strip the hair of the oils it needs to grow. However, if you do use a shampoo that is ALL natural and contains vitamins and herbs for hair growth, it can give your hair what it needs to grow at its optimal rate and not split or break.

The best thing I recommend for you to do is:

    1) Eat more green leafy vegetables.

    2) Try Conditioning Your Hair With Pure Aloe Vera or Trying Beauty 4 Ashes Super Hair Growth Shampoo. It contains aloe vera, Vitamin E, rosemary, Vitamin B, Amino Acids, and Amla. wwwdiscoverb4acom.

    3) Eat more protein.

    4) Drink plenty of water.

5)Lay of chemicals, heat, and cutting your hair.
I recommend Mane N Tail shampoo. Most stores carry it and you can also buy this shampoo at sally beauty supply.

How do you get pen marks off a leather couch? I tried hairspray, baby shampoo and alcohol.?

WD-40, ';oops'; and ';goof-off'; are all products that also might work.

Even a Mr Clean Magic Eraser...

Try on a hidden area first. How do you get pen marks off a leather couch? I tried hairspray, baby shampoo and alcohol.?
Comet cleansing powder on a slightly wet cloth, it is non abrasive, scrub in gentle circular motions, then be sure to rinse the film off as well. This works beautifully for scuff marks on white or light colored shoes as well :-)How do you get pen marks off a leather couch? I tried hairspray, baby shampoo and alcohol.?
Saddle soap, you can find it near the shoe polishes. Use a warm wet wash cloth, rub a little bit of saddle soap onto the wash cloth and massage the spot on the couch.
This depends on what type of leather you have.

If the ink is on a pigmented leather then the first thing you should try is an ink stick (find one that is a professional product used in the industry). The fresher the ink the more chance you have of removing it.

You need to establish what type of leather you have as ink sticks should not be used on aniline style leather. (see below)

You should also be using a good quality leather protector on your leather. This will act like a 'scotchgard' and will make any more mishaps easier to clean off.

If an ink stick doesn't work a solvent based remover will need to be used and it may also remove finish and pigment so is best left to the experts.

Using hairspray/WD40 and all these other solvent cleaners is very risky as it can make the matter far worse as it can spread the ink over a bigger area and can sometimes then be impossible to fix.

Using alcohol can also be a little risky depending on how stable the finish is. If the finish is unstable this would remove pigment form the leather.

As you have tried these I would now suggest that the ink has soaked into the finish on the leather and will need a professional to get it out and repair the damage.

Nail varnish remover or any other solvents will also remove the finish and pigment which will need replacing.

DO NOT USE Baby wipes as they are about the worst thing you can use on a leather as they break down the finish and will eventually ruin it.

Please do not try milk or toothpaset these are silly ideas that will leave sticky residues on the surface which will help to break down the finish on your leather.

Old ink will be harder to remove than new ink and may mean resorting to solvents which will also remove the finish. This is probably best left to the experts.

Silicones/furniture polish are the worst thing to use on leather as they will form a coating on the surface of the leather which will not allow any moisture to get to the leather and will eventually break all the finish down and make it crack. Leather needs water and should not be protected against it.

Leather does not need conditioning it needs cleaning and protecting on a regular basis with water based products this will keep it rehydrated and supple. Oils will make things much worse.

Leather should be cleaned gently not scrubbed so 'elbow grease' will only do damage to the finish.

Hide food will not remove ink and will leave residues on the leather which will attract dirt and oils.

Magic Erasers generally remove finish and pigment along with the ink.

If your ink is on an aniline leather (one that is absorbent and mark easily) then you should not use an ink stick and it is highly unlikely that anything else will remove the ink as it will have re dyed the leather. It may fade over time. Best to leave this one to the experts.

    Good Luck

What shampoo should I use for my hair?

I have really curly hair that gets oily at the roots, and very dry at the tips. I have to wash it every other day because of how oily it gets. Help! What shampoo should I use for my hair?
Maybe try and leave in conditioner. Those ends of your hair might be damaged so going to get a nice trim would definitely help. If you need a quick fix just use leave in conditioner at the ends of your hair and at the roots dust a little bit of either baby powder or compact powder. The powder absorbs the oils.

Also hot oil treatments are great for damaged hair, if it is just at the roots then only apply the oil there. What shampoo should I use for my hair?
If it is oily wash it everyday in the morning because if you wash it at night, when you wake up it will be an oil fest. Try Head and Shoulders for oily and dandruff hair. This shampoo will get the oil out of your hair and the dandruff feature will moisturize. Good Luck!

P.S. If because of your oily hair you have no body, blowdry upside down then flip back and brush! Instant body!

Can i use a different brand of shampoo and a different brand of conditioner?

Will it work just fine? Im trying to make my hairstyle stay more smooth and straight, thats why im using conditionerCan i use a different brand of shampoo and a different brand of conditioner?
yesCan i use a different brand of shampoo and a different brand of conditioner?
    i guess so
All the companies say ';for best results'; use their brands. Not true, my daughter is a hairdresser, and uses whatever she likes in her hair. It sure wont cause any problems. I'm the same way, I may love one shampoo, but hate their conditioner. Just use what works best for your hair!
    ya u can change it.
Yes, you can definately use a different brand of shampoo and a different brand of conditioner. However, for best results it is always good to stay within the same brand shampoo %26amp; conditioner whenever possible. This is because most manufacturers formulate their products to work in conjunction with one another for optimal results. If you are looking for a brand (or conditioner) that makes the hair smooth %26amp; straight, try PANTENE SMOOTH %26amp; SLEEK. You can try their 2-in-1 shampoo plus conditioner in this brand. Good luck!! :)
Yes, I think that the thing you need to consider is if the two different kinds of smells don't go together. you wouldn't want to have a tropical smelling shampoo and a chemical smelling conditioner, they just wouldn't go together.
It has worked in the past for me. Most people use the same brand for both, but sometimes people just want to use a shampoo they are familiar with BUT a conditioner that they know will have amazing effects on their hair. Only do it if the conditioner has some added ingredient or effect that will get your hair the way you want it. To be safe you could always use the shampoo and then the complimentary conditioner and then use the other conditioner for an added bonus. Good luck!
Yep, thats what I do all the time. You should go according to your hair's needs, not what a certain brand reccomends you use in conjunction with their own product.

Its it bad to use a different shampoo very often?

I usually stay at different hotels around my city for business purposes. Every time i stay in different hotel i usually have to use a different shapoo, and when i go home i use my own shampoo is this bad or unhealthy for the hair or scalp? Its it bad to use a different shampoo very often?
i used to be a hair dresser and i never heard of too many shampoos hurting your hair... you should not shampoo too often with strong shampoos (if you shampoo every day use a mild one)

In fact shampooing with the same product for a long time can cause build up on your hair... so in my humble opinion ... no problemo...Its it bad to use a different shampoo very often?
im not a beautician, but it may damage the hair from the amount of chemicals u put in it from those different shampoos. It can break off the ends of the hair...anyways, try buying one shampoo and let that be what you use, instead of always something different....make sure u buy enough so that it lasts awhile!!
I have some sample travel packets of an awesome shampoo and conditioner. Email me and I will share some samples with you and if you like it, I can tell you how to get it. There is even a baby shampoo too.
If you do not feel comfortable using the shampoo at the hotels just buy small travel bottles to put your own shampoo in and take it with you.
The only thing bad about Hotel Shampoos is the whole shampoo/Conditioner combo. I would at least bring more conditioner and use with it. Stay away from any Flex type shampoo and watch for hard water. Depending on your hair type, you don't have to wash your hair everyday anyway unless it's just really dirty.
No your hair can be harmed but most likely will not hurt it so your will be alright if you use different kinds i myself use about 4 different shampoos all the time and my hair is fine.
i think its fine as long as the dirt doesnt sit on the head!!!
yes because every shampoo haves different kind of chimcals

Look for it at an organic foods store. I found some there for about $6.99 or less.
v05 is about 95 cents and they have a white tea blend shampoo. that's as cheap as u can get,. and the quality's descent. especially for guys' hair.

I presume that ';tea tree'; is a type of shampoo, not a brand name. If so, discount and dollar stores might sell the stuff for a couple of bucks, but be wary of off-brand goods that might not be so good, given the recent rash of foreign-manufactured product recalls.
try Melaleuca at http://www.melaleuca.com/ps/index.cfm?f=鈥?/a> they make products with it in it.
have you tryed walmart i saw it there but dont remenber the price.
Your local organic store holds all types of organic products. Your best bet is to try there, and you aren't going to get that much cheaper that $10. Tea Tree Oil is getting expensive.

What age should you start using adult shampoo's and conditioners..?

What age should you start using stuff like Herbal Essences and stuff? What age should you start using adult shampoo's and conditioners..?
It's not uncommon for adults to use baby shampoo. Those that do use it have fine hair or sensitive skin.

Then again, if you're old enough to ask this question, then your probably ready for big girl shampoo :PWhat age should you start using adult shampoo's and conditioners..?
If you're old enough to put this up (min age is 13) you're old enough to use adult shampoo and conditioner. They only call it adult because it's not meant for babies. Very simple. So go ahead and try them. But I would buy a travel sample to see if it is good for your hair and you like it. If you do like it, get a full size and enjoy! :)
    Doesn't really matter. Start whenever.
When you are about 6 or7 years old.
Anyone who is old enough to keep the shampoo and conditioner out of their eyes, until then use no tear shampoos.
When you can pay for it.

    Just kidding...I started when I was 12ish
Whenever you're old enough to know how to use shampoo without getting it in your eyes. Kids shampoos are made just for that pretty much.

    ANYTIME!

you use the kid ones until like 6 or 7 the start using the adult ones at 8

i never used kid ones cuz i had to share shampoo with my sister
    No younger than 21

Don't get caught using adult shampoo by your parents, they will be ashamed...
    Like.. now?

You are not a newborn baby.
    ALWAYS!
I don't think you'll find the answer in age. It really depends on when you know how to wash your hair without getting shampoo or conditioner in your eyes.

Also, I sometimes use the Totally Twisted Products, but they don't take care of the frizz as well:

I have a friend who has the exact same problem. What you can do it straighten it, --OR-- if you don't want to take the time to do that, try using Pantene, Sunkist, or Herbal Essence. They're products are cheap and they get the job done. It won't completely rid the frizz, so I would suggest using a straight iron.
OK! Try pantiene! I prob did not spell that right but it comes in a lot of different bottles to suit a persons needs. Another one is Herbal Eccence! Thats also very good!
    Hey!

If you don't want frizzy hair anymore, try getting a straight perm. It will get rid of all the frizziness and make your hair nice and straight. Then you can just use a gentle shampoo.

Brilliant Brunette. It smells like almonds, coconuts, vanilla and caramel. I use both the shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair really soft, silky, shiny and smooth.
Bed Head. It's great. I have wavy hair, and it kind of straightens it, and makes the hair lighter feeling, do the straightener keeps straight. It smells really yummy too. :)
It varies. Right now I'm using Herbal Essences for long hair. Lately I usually switch back and forth between Herbal Essences and Sunsilk. They're both pretty yummy and good for your hair.
    Matrix Sleek.

Is putting a birth control pill in your shampoo or conditioner make your hair grow?

Somebody told me that if you put birth control pills in the shampoo or conditioner it will make it grow longer.

    Is this true?

if nOt, can you tell me some VERY GOOD ways to make my hair grow longer. Is putting a birth control pill in your shampoo or conditioner make your hair grow?
No, that's extremely false. Taking pre natal vitamins makes hair/nails grow longer quickly. But thats a vitamin to take while pregnant. The only suggestion I have on how to make your hair grow longer is to get your hair trimmed very regularly. It will avoid split ends which is the reason most ladies can't grow their hair out. Also condition it a few times a week.. with both of those you will notice the length sooner. Is putting a birth control pill in your shampoo or conditioner make your hair grow?
Hair growth is determined physiologically, not by anything applied to the exposed hair shaft, which is made of dead cells.

Take very good care of your hair. Avoid straightening or blow drying any more than you have to, and I recommend using hot oil treatments occasionally as well.

This has nothing to do with making hair grow faster, but it will keep hair from splitting and looking damaged, allowing you to have your hair dusted or trimmed rather than cut to remove split ends and damage. Have hair trimmed and dusted regularly for the same reason. If hair is allowed to split in a misguided attempt to retain every fraction of an inch of hair it can break, looking fuzzy and uneven and like your hair is hardly growing at all.
No!whoever told u that was BSing u! Take good care of your hair hydrate it and take keratin supplements

  • Why if you wash your hair with colored shampoo the soap suds are always white? Where does the color go?

Do people with blonde hair run a risk of dying their hair on accident by habitually washing their hair with colored shampoo or something, because the color in the shampoo HAS to go somewhere. Why if you wash your hair with colored shampoo the soap suds are always white? Where does the color go?
';White'; as you perceive it is actually a combination of all colours of light mixed together. When soap foams, the many surfaces of the bubbles all reflect light that hits them in all directions, so the light colour that your eyes see is white.

The liquid shampoo of a different colour has a chemical, or combination of chemicals, that are able to absorb different colours of light. Because there are not thousands of reflective surfaces in the liquid, your eyes see only the colour NOT absorbed by the liquid shampoo. Why if you wash your hair with colored shampoo the soap suds are always white? Where does the color go?
The color in shampoo goes down the drain. If you wish to demonstrate this to yourself, get some shampoo and lather it up, then let all the bubbles pop. You'll observe that the resulting stuff is the same color it was before.

Colors added to shampoos and soaps come from dyes and waxes. Many companies use FDA-approved dyes for that purpose - the same stuff that gets used to color food. So in those cases, you certainly have no more worry (probably less) of coloring your hair than if you ate a bag of cheetoes or something. Even waxes have much more affinity for the soap than your hair, so it's going to go only where the soap goes. If the detergent in the shampoo couldn't do that, it wouldn't get the dirty oil out of your hair and you'd be wasting your time using it at all!
To your brain and that's what caused you to ask this question. Get a different shampoo.
