yeah my basset hound keeps shedding and there is hair everywhere. is there anything for this to stop?Is there a shampoo to help a dog stop loosing fur?
Basset Hounds shed. A lot. Twice a year they shed even more.

The only way to reduce the shedding is frequent brushing and a high-quality diet. But that won't stop it, just make it less.Is there a shampoo to help a dog stop loosing fur?
There are special mitts that you can brush the dog with that will remove the excess shedding hair rather than having it fall out randomly constantly. It doesn't stop all of it but quite a bit.





You didn't say how much hair he is losing. I had a dog that had a problem with his thyroid causing his hair to get really thin. When we gave him the thyroid medication, it stopped. He was a schnauzer and they aren't supposed to shed at all.
