Best shampoo and conditioner for very long hair?

I currently use Panteen Ice Shine, but I have noticed breakage at the tips (that may be because my hair needs trimmed). I am trying to grow my hair waist length. My hair type is normal but I have oily roots so I wash everyday. I got a free sample of Aveeno Nourish+ is that a good type for long hair? Well, usually you should shampoo every other day and condition every day. I like using Suave Naturals.
