What is the best way to keep hair from being greasy when you can't shampoo it?

I just got my hair colored and my colorist suggested that I don't shampoo it for 2-3 days. However, I often shampoo my hair daily because it is really fine and gets really greasy and heavy if I don't. Any tips on what I can do to keep it from looking like crap the next 2-3 days? Also I have a job interview on Friday.. so I don't want to look like a greasy bum.What is the best way to keep hair from being greasy when you can't shampoo it?
this is crazy just wash your hair...any reputable stylist would tell you as long as you use a shampoo and a conditioner for color treated hair...their is no issue...u should be able to wash your hair the very next day...DO NOT PUT POWDER IN YOUR HAIR...YOU WILL LOOK LIKE A FREAK..ITS VERY NOTICEABLE...JUST WASH IT..NOTHING BAD WILL HAPPEN!What is the best way to keep hair from being greasy when you can't shampoo it?
Baby powder is always a quick fix, But I also do hair and have been for 7 years. I am not saying anything bad about your stylist but there is no reason you can't wash your hair for your interview. I am a color specialist and that is crazy to make you wait that long. I would not tell you to wash your hair if I thought I would be damaging to your color, but its up to you. My clients have permission to wash theirs the next day and I have never had any problems. You do want to look greasy for your interview and I don't blame you!!!!!!

I too have fine hair and used to do a ';conditioner wash'; for the fews days after color. Using conditioner instead of shampoo still made my hair smell nice and didn't damage the color.

I dyed My Hair. And My Person Told Don't Shampoo It For 4-5. But I Did. I Washed Like A Day After I Got It Done. And It Looked The Same. And It Hasn;t Faded Or Nothing.
Do you use a (reputable, not cheap) shampoo that's especially for oily hair? If you use the right shampoo, you shouldn't have to worry so much about this issue, even after a few days.





You should go ahead and call your hairdresser and see what he/she thinks about shampooing your hair for your interview.
Just pull it back for a few days.
How about put it in a tight bun or a clamp. Its cute but simple!
Baby powder. Put some in the roots and rub it in really good.. don't put too much or your hair looks grey but a little bit should do the trick. Also avoid brushing or combing it if possible it tends to make it look wwaaay more greasy.
Pull it back into a bun or do a tight French braid. You can always wear a hat or a wig.
I know this sounds crazy but if you apply baby powder to your scalp and make sure thats is rub in good it will absorb the oil and your hair will look like it has just been washed...
